Cyclenow instructor, Simon Tillyer, is a Bikeability registered cycle instructor qualified to take levels 1,2 and 3 courses and award the appropriate certification on completion. Bikeability registration number 704210a and Department of Transport Instructor number NSIQ510482A. Simon is a qualified HSE emergency first aider and also holds the Bikeability instructor mechanics certification.

Simon commutes to work daily, a return trip of between 6 and 20 miles (depending on if a scenic route is preferred on the way home!), takes part in social off road mountain bike rides, including the Forest of Dean Endurance race, as well as faster road rides for a change such as long distance 80 mile+ sportive events (non-competitive cycles events).

In 2009 Simon completed a 872 mile ride from Land's End to John O'Groats in 7 days. You can read more about his adventures here.

In September 2011 Simon cycled 300 miles non-stop in under 24 hours from London to Amsterdam (via Dover /Calais) demonstrating that no matter how unlikely or silly an idea might sound, if you put in enough training and effort you can do it!

With the right skills and knowledge you can ride your bike anywhere and Cyclenow is set up to ensure exactly that. We will teach you, through the three levels of Bikeability, how to be confident, assertive and safe on your bike whether it be riding with your family in the countryisde, commuting to work through the town or taking on a challenge like Land's End to John O'Groats!
